Elk Grove, California began construction on the Northern California Super-Mall right next door to EGCT in ‘06 at a cost to exceed $500 million. Project consists of 1.3 million sq. ft. Lent Ranch Mall on 105 acres at Hwy 99 and Kammerer Rd in Sacramento County; two level mall to have five anchors; an additional 1.8 million sq. ft. of adjoining development of 165 acres would encompass more retail, entertainment and commercial enterprises, and even offices and a 280-apartment complex; population expansion to 400,000.
